Power Ranking: Brazil and Spain

Interesting weekly ranking by Eurosport for the 32 World Cup teams.
This ranking is the power of the teams, not the likelehood to qualify, which draw plays a role in it.

Methodology:
It is a poll of Eurosport-Yahoo writers, asking them to rank each team based on their expected performance if the World Cup were to start tomorrow. Teams friendlies, rumors, latest news and stars performance in major leagues are all taken into considerations.

1- Brazil 2- Spain 3- Netherlands 4- Argentina
5- Italy 6- Germany 7- England 8- Portugal
9- France 10- USA 11- Ivory Coast 12- Serbia
13- Mexico 14- Ghana 15- Chile 16- Paraguay
17- Cameroon 18- Australia 19- Uruguay 20- Greece
21- South Korea 22- South Africa 23- Denmark 24- Switzerland
25- Slovenia 26- Japan 27- Nigeria 28- Slovakia
29- Algeria 30- Honduras 31- North Korea 32- New Zealand

I found majority of them very reasonable, especially the top 10 and bottom two. I think Germany is better than Italy. Honduras is under-estimated and Nigeria and South Africa are over estimated. But it general it makes big sense.

I think Brazil got an advantage over Spain in terms of teams schedules. Some of the Brazilian stars play in Brazil, and they are not under the tremendous pressure that is faced by Barca Real Madrid race for the La Liga title.

Brazil #1, Chile #15 though Chile is #2 in S. America qualifications ahead of Argentina
